Cylinder Block Services

Precision cylinder boring on vertical mill – 45/90 degree accurate and inline to centerline – (we do 348/409 style blocks too!!) – Ranges from $200 to $400
Cylinder sleeve installation, ductile sleeves, counter bore sleeves, Darton MID sleeves – Ranges from $100 to $200 per cylinder – call for estimate
Carbide CBN deck surfacing utilizing BHJ fixturing for blueprint deck heights and squareness – Ranges from $150 for a single deck (inline block) to $200 for V6/V8
Align honing, align boring, cap installation etc – Ranges from $150 for a basic align hone depending on required work – cap installation etc is all on by time basis
Cylinder honing with torque plates – Ranges from $120 for basic honing, $225 for competition work with torque plates etc
Lifter bushing installation – Approximately $800 (plus cost of bushings) but can vary with complexity of job/work required
Sonic Testing – Ranges from $75 to $120 depending on number of cylinders
Magnaflux Inspection – Approximately $95 – (block must be clean)
Pressure Testing – Ranges from $150 to $250 depending on type of block, fixturing required etc.
Finishing prep services for cam bearing, oil plug and oil restrictor installation – Ranges from $120 to $150

Complete crankshaft balancing service – (including heavy metal installation) – Ranges from $200 (4 cyl) to $350 (V8) -heavy metal extra
Crankshaft grinding and polishing – Ranges from $175 (4 cyl) to $350 (V8)
Camshaft polishing – $95
Magnaflux inspection of both cranks and cams – $120
Connecting rod resizing – $30 per rod

Multi angle valve seat machining and valve grinding and seat installation – Ranges from $190 (typical V8) to $525 with seat replacement -call for estimate
Valve guide installation (bronze, cast and steel) – Ranges from $190 to $300
Deck resurfacing with CBN for MLS gasket compatibility – Ranges from $150 for single casting to $225 pairs -extra stock removal call for estimate
Valve seal and spring pocket machining – Ranges from $95 to $190
Rocker stud and guide plate conversions – Call for estimate
Magnaflux inspection – Ranges from $95 (single) to $150 for pairs
Pressure testing – Ranges from $120 for singles to $180 for pairs
Assembly services for spring height/pressure set up – Ranges from $120 (basic V8) to $300 for highly technical design

Complete engine assembly and blueprinting services – Starting from $800
Short Block assembly with or without cam installation and/or degreeing – Starting from $400

Traditional chemical “jet wash cabinet” cleaning service – $95 per block (includes high pressure rinse)
High temperature and high pressure rinse washing – $65
Thermal burn and shot blasting – $225 for blocks -call for other items
Glass beading – $95 per hour
